Hypnotherapy

Not what you think. More than you expect.

What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy uses a guided state of deep relaxation to access the subconscious mind, where patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses are stored.

You are aware and in control throughout. What changes is the depth at which the work can reach. That is why results often feel faster and more lasting than conventional talk therapy alone.

Hypnotherapy helps you heal from Anxiety and chronic stress, trauma and PTSD, phobias, negative self-belief, disordered eating, addiction, sleep difficulties, grief, physical pain with emotional roots, and performance blocks in work or relationships.

Our Sessions

Sessions run 3 to 4 hours. That time includes an intake conversation, the hypnotherapy itself, and an integration period before you leave.

You will not be rushed. You will not lose control. Most clients describe it as deeply restful and, often, quietly surprising.

Every hypnotherapist at Heal is licensed, specialist-trained, and carefully selected. We match each client with the practitioner best suited to their needs.

Our team is led by Steph, founder of Heal Therapy Centre, clinical hypnotherapist, and counsellor with 13 years of experience and over 1,000 clients worldwide. Alongside her, our resident and visiting practitioners bring a range of specialist backgrounds across trauma, addiction, somatic work, and more.

Frequently asked questions

Will I be in control?
Completely. You cannot be made to say or do anything against your will. The hypnotic state simply allows you to be more open to changes you have chosen to pursue.

What does it feel like?
A deep, focused calm. Similar to the feeling just before sleep. You remain aware throughout.

How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you are working on. Some clients shift significantly in one session. Others benefit from a short series. Steph or your practitioner will give you an honest assessment after your first.

Is it suitable for everyone?
It is safe for most people. It is not recommended for those with active psychosis or schizophrenia. If you have a complex psychiatric history, please contact us before booking.

What is the difference between hypnotherapy and meditation?
Meditation is a personal practice for awareness and calm. Hypnotherapy is a clinically guided intervention with a specific therapeutic goal. They can complement each other, but they are not the same.

Can sessions be done online?
Yes. Steph and several of our practitioners work with clients globally. Online sessions are equally effective when conducted by an experienced practitioner.
